d42_gtcallid only parses the display once, right when the call comes in, and that's the problem here. The display is not really parsed when you call the function, calling the function just returns what was already parsed in the background for you. I have suggested that they change this so that the function will reparse each time it is called but then you can run into issues if you call it while the display is not complete so they have decided to not do it.

I am afraid for now you will need to develop your own client side parser to get what you need, and I will admit that Rolm displays are not easy. There are many different types and combinations to have to deal with.
