[sipx-users] why timeout failure occurs in sipxezphone



There are no stun requests or responses in the trace.  Make sure that you have specified a valid STUN server in the configuration.

Sounds to me like you're behind a NAT device that will not work with STUN as the softphone is not getting the resitration reply back from the server.

Port forwarding 5060 and some RTP ports to the PC running the softphone will solve it, but may be a bit of a pain.

Not much we can do there. Commercial SIP based service providers will in this situation provide a proxy. We can't, as it's expensive to provision....
 
 
Are there any alternatives for this problem, if so, Please mail me.
