Images being stored in burst pages

Thanks again for your input, Leonard

         File->Save As should do it.

         OR, if you have Acrobat Professional, use PDF Optimizer.

I did try both the File->Save As and PDF Optimizer functions, and neither was able to remove the images from the content streams.

PDF Enhancer for Linux is in final testing right now. If
you're interested - drop support (at) apago.com a note if you'd like to try it out!

I might look into PDF Enhancer, but if Acrobat's functions didn't work, I have my doubts that PDF Enhancer will, and I was hoping to find something open source so that I can customize it to my needs.

> Is there really no way to fix this problem through iText?

         Is it possible - yes? BUT you'll be writing a LOT of code
including a display list manager for each page's content stream, a
mapping system for of objects and their use on each page, and lots of
low level calls to add & remove PDF objects.

         There is a reason that there are only two programs that
implement it - it's HARD WORK!

It looks like I've got some hard work ahead of me. I may be asking this list more questions when I'm knee deep in the code.

Thanks again,

Brendan
