Images being stored in burst pages


Thanks Leonard, for your prompt reply, and my apologies, Tim for cloggling up the mailing list with my attachments. In response to your suggestion of either Acrobat or PDF Enhancer, I'm working in Linux, so neither of those choices are available to me. That being said, I did look at one of the split pdfs in Acrobat, and was unable to find a way to get rid of the images. Is there really no way to fix this problem through iText? Either before the document is split, or after by manipulating the output pdfs?

         The only two programs that I know of that can do this are
Adobe Acrobat Standard/Professional, and PDF Enhancer
