Watermarks and 'under-content'

You can put the watermark with low opacity. There's an example in the tutorial to do that.

Subject: [iText-questions] Watermarks and 'under-content'

I'm finding that if I try to watermark a scanned document (that is "Image+Text"), and use the sample program, the watermark-image never appears. However, if I change it to put the watermark in the "over-byte-content", it'll appear, but obscure the text "under it" at that point.

Am I correct in thinking that the scan-image within the PDF is obscuring the image I'm trying to put under it (the watermark jpeg)?

I can't obscure the text as much as putting it over it...does anyone have any ideas how to put the watermark "under" the content, but make it appear in this case???

Thanks in advance,
AJ
